PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University men's lacrosse team answered a 0-3 first quarter by Post with the first three goals of the second, but the Eagles took over from there in an eventual 8-17 win over HFU at Tiger Field on Saturday afternoon.
Ryan Merryfield (Somers Point, N.J./Mainland Regional) scored twice in the span on 3:12 to equalize with 6:32 left in the first half, but Post closed on a 1-5 surge over the final 6:05 to take a 4-8 lead just 15 seconds ahead of the break.
The Eagles would then tally the first two goals of the third period.

- Merryfield and Jake Feeney (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern) both scored twice
- Noah Simpson (Oshawa, Ontario/Henry Street) and James Bienia (East Moriches, N.Y./Westhampton Beach) also had two points, with Simpson adding a team-high five ground balls
- Logan O'Keefe (Levittown, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) led Holy Family with a season-best three caused turnovers
- Jayden Williams (Mays Landing, N.J./Atlantic County Institute of Technology) topped the Tigers with eight faceoff wins and was second with four ground balls
- James Demakopoulos (Carle Place, N.Y./Carle Place) made 18 saves
