How it Happened
Game One
- Holy Family could never overcome a Georgian Court three-run first, despite having the go-ahead run in scoring position in the sixth
- Trailing 4-6, a Grubb walk, Letizia single and Ciasullo walk loaded the bases with one away
- The second out was recorded, but Hagy came through with an RBI single to cut the deficit to one
- The Lions were able to get the final out though, and the Tigers could not threaten in the seventh
- HFU also cut the deficit to one, 2-3, with a two-run third that began with a Grubb single and Letizia RBI double, before Hagy again came through with an RBI single
- The Tigers stranded the baes loaded though, and GCU would plate three yet again in the fourth
- Ciasullo led off the fifth with a home run, before an Emma Clayborne (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) walk led to pinch-runner Gabrielle Wiley (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Moreland) coming home on a Hagy double and Miller's fielder's choice
Game Two
- Trailing 3-4, Grubb and Letizia led off the seventh with back-to-back singles, with Grubb advancing to third on a Ciasullo flyout, but HFU could not bring her home
- Georgian Court scored in each of its first three at-bats, beginning with an unearned run in the first
- Ciasullo equalized with a home run to lead off the second, and her leadoff walk in the fourth led to the Tigers making it 2-3 after a wild pitch followed a Lily Hoban (Millsboro, Del./Indian River) single
- Holy Family then tied it at 3-3 in the fifth following back-to-back singles by Wiley and Rylee Hobel (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) and a Grubb sacrice fly
- The Tigers stranded two in both the fifth and sixth though, and the Lions would bring home the game-winning run in the latter
