ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Playing its first of three games this week, the HFU Men's Basketball Team defeated Roberts Wesleyan, 84-65, on Tuesday evening.
Individual Highlights
- Najee Coursey (Egg Harbor City, N.J./Cedar Creek (Sacred Heart University)) fell one rebound shy of a double-double with a game-high 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting
- Omarion Jett (Montclair, N.J./Saint Benedict's Prep (American International College)) led all players with six assists and added 15 points, tying season-bests
- Matt Gardler (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) and Elijah Hernandez (Bronx, N.Y./Our Savior Lutheran (Westchester CC)) both had five assists, to go along with 12 and 8 points, respectively
- Di'Andre Howell-South (Paterson, N.J./Immaculate Conception (Wagner College)) made it four Tigers in double-figures with 14 points on 6-of-10 field goals
- AJ Cortes (Miami, Fla./Miami) tied a game-high with three steals
- Raphael Dupouy (Bordeaux, France/Central Pointe Christian Academy (Yavapai College)) led all players with 10 boards

How it Happened
- Roberts Wesleyan scored 10 of the first 13 points, but HFU came right back with the next eight, sparking a 15-3 surge that ended when two RJ Delahaye (Newburgh, N.Y./The Storm King School (Franklin Pierce University)) free throws put the Tigers ahead 18-13 8:16 into the action
- The Redhawks tied it at 20, but Holy Family responded with seven unanswered as a Jett 3-pointer put the Tigers on top 27-20 with 8:31 left in the first half
- The first half lead reached as large as nine, 41-32, on a Karrington Wallace (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Wood (Central Connecticut State University)) layup 2:52 ahead of the break, before a Howell-South basket established a 43-35 advantage entering the locker room
- Roberts Wesleyan opened the second with a 3-pointer, only to have HFU take control with 10 in a row capped by a Dupouy bucket for a 53-38 scoreline with 13:11 to play
- The RedHawks got as close as six, 56-50, with 9:45 remaining, before Jett scored five in an 11-0 spurt that helped the Tigers pull away
