Volleyball One of 10 Teams in East Region Featured in First Installment of NCAA’s Regional Rankings

The Holy Family University volleyball team was one of 10 teams in the East Region listed in the first installment of the NCAA's Regional Rankings.

The NCAA Regional Rankings ultimately determine the 64 teams – eight from each of the eight regions – that qualify for the NCAA Tournament.

This is the first of three installments of the rankings, which features teams listed in alphabetical order. The second and third installments, released over the next two Wednesdays, will feature teams ranked one through 10.

The official bracket will be revealed on ncaa.com on Monday, Nov. 24 at 7:30 p.m.

The East Region features the 28 volleyball teams in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), East Coast Conference (ECC) and Northeast 10 (NE10).

Joining the Tigers in the rankings were fellow CACC members Post and Wilmington.

The NE10 featured five teams, Adelphi, American International, Bentley, Saint Anselm and, Southern Connecticut State, while Mercy and Molloy represented the ECC.

HFU has notably defeated both Saint Anselm and Southern Connecticut this season. The Tigers currently stand at 16-8 on the year, with four matches remaining in the regular season.

Holy Family next takes the court when it hosts Jefferson tomorrow at 6 p.m.
