PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University women's soccer team closed out its 2025 season with a 0-2 loss at Georgian Court on Tuesday afternoon.
Both teams had one shot on target in the opening 53 minutes, with
Gigi Conlan (Queens, N.Y./St. John's Preparatory School) denied in the 21st and
Jaina Preuhs (Brookhaven, Pa./Sun Valley) making her first save in the 34th, before the Lions picked up the pressure in the early in the second half.
After
Julia Leibig (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) missed high, GCU had the next four attempts and finally broke through in the 59th despite another Preuhs stop minutes prior.
Gyzell Rowan (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) had a potential equalizer saved in the 65th, before the Lions closed out the scoring with 13:22 remaining.
Allison Devine (Douglassville, Pa./Berks Catholic) had two shots to halve the deficit stopped over the final 10:20.
Georgian Court held slight advantages in attempts on net (4-5) and corner kicks (5-6).
