WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Holy Family University men's soccer team began its busy final week of the regular season with a 1-2 loss at West Chester on Monday afternoon.
After two Golden Rams goals 2:22 apart in the opening 12:15 of the second half,
Jackson Kiss (Warrington, Pa./Archbishop Wood) scored in a second match in a row to halve the deficit with 23:42 remaining.
Hugo Gutierrez (Valladolid, Spain/Nuestra Señora del Lourdes), who assisted Kiss' goal, then had an opportunity to equalize saved with an even 29 minutes on the clock.
That was the Tigers' final attempt on net, as both
Rafael Gouvea (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/Life Center Academy) and
Michael Martinez (Philadelphia, Pa./Life Center Academy) fired off frame in the final 6:21.
Gutierrez now leads HFU with five assists on the year, while Kiss moved into a tie for second on the Tigers with four goals.
