Ned Lewis (London, England/Hayesbrook) and
Gigi Conlan (Queens, N.Y./St. John's Preparatory School) have received their first career Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) weekly awards, the league offices announced on Monday.
Ned Lewis (London, England/Hayesbrook) – CACC Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Lewis netted four goals, including both game-winners, in a 2-0 week.
He first scored the match's only goal in Wednesday's win over St. Thomas Aquiinas, slotting into the bottom left corner from the top of the box in the 66th minute.
The senior then celebrated Senior Day with a natural hat trick in just 9:01, completing the feat in the opening 12:34 of Saturday's 6-2 triumph over Caldwell. His first and third goals came from well outside of the box as he caught the keeper off his line, while the second came on a point-blank header following a cross.
Gigi Conlan (Queens, N.Y./St. John's Preparatory School) – CACC Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week
Conlan netted her first collegiate brace, opening and closing the scoring, in Tuesday's victory at Lincoln.
After an outside-of-the-box strike 5:04 in, the freshman made a darting solo run into the box in the 74th minute to complete the 4-0 scoreline.
