The Holy Family University Volleyball Team has received an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament, as the Tigers earned the seven seed in the East Regional that will be hosted at Bentley from Dec. 4-6.
Making its fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in eight seasons, HFU will take on second-seeded Adelphi, an at-large from the Northeast 10 (NE10), in the First Round on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 1:30 p.m.
The East Regional features eight teams, with the champions of the NE10, Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) and East Coast Conference (ECC) being joined by five at-large bids from the region.
The winner of the regional advances to the Elite Eight hosted in Sioux Falls, S.D. from Dec. 11-13.
The winner of Holy Family and Adelphi moves on to the semifinal to match up with either ECC champion Mercy or ECC at-large Molloy, who are seeded third and sixth, respectively.
The matchups on the other side of the bracket feature host and top seed Bentley, the NE10 champion, taking on eight seed Bridgeport, the CACC champion, as well as four seed AIC versus five seed Post, respective at-larges from the NE10 and CACC.
The respective semifinal winners on Dec. 5 will face each other in the East Region Final (Sweet 16) the following day on Dec. 6.
