Mackenzie Layton (Clarksboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional) and
Jackson Kiss (Warrington, Pa./Archbishop Wood) have both claimed their first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week awards, the league offices announced on Monday.
Mackenzie Layton (Clarksboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional) – CACC Volleyball Player and Rookie of the Week
Now a three-time CACC Rookie of the Week this season, Layton averaged 5.0 kills per set on .351 hitting in pair of victories. She added 12 digs and four blocks.
After beginning the week with 18 kills on .484 hitting in Thursday's win over Jefferson, the freshman led HFU with a season-high 27 kills in Sunday's five-set triumph at previous CACC unbeaten Post.
Jackson Kiss (Warrington, Pa./Archbishop Wood) – CACC Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Kiss scored a pair of goal in the final week of the regular season, beginning in Monday's match at West Chester.
Then in Thursday's regular season finale at Georgian Court, the senior headed home the lone score in the 73rd minute to clinch the Tigers the five seed in the CACC Tournament.
