BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – It took Holy Family men's soccer just 1:47 to answer the opener as the Tigers earned a point in a 1-1 draw at second place Bridgeport on Saturday night.
HFU quickly erased the Purple Knights' 21st minute opener when
Luiz Recchimuzzi's (Bahia, Brazil/Life Center Academy) cross from the right found
Ned Lewis (London, England/Hayesbrook) for a header in the center of the box.
It was Recchimuzzi's first assist of the season, while Lewis moved into second on the Tigers with three goals.
It was also Lewis who produced the match's final save in the 74th minute as both teams had four attempts on net, with
Bruno Mestres (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Mackenzie Tambore) making just one second half stop in the 66th.
Lucca Saad (São Paulo, Brazil/The Phelps School) was denied three minutes prior, while
Jackson Kiss (Warrington, Pa./Archbishop Wood) also forced a save in the 29th.
