Mackenzie Layton (Clarksboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional), of HFU Volleyball, and Gavin Dwyer (Bensalem, Pa./Father Judge), of HFU Men's Cross Country, have been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Co-Rookies of the Week for their respective sports, the league offices announced on Monday.

Layton receives her second CACC Rookie of the Week nod after leading both matches of a 2-0 week in service aces, finishing with seven over seven sets, while adding 3.14 kills per set on .245 hitting. 

The freshman began the week leading all players with 11 kills on .444 hitting and three service aces in Wednesday's sweep of Chestnut Hill. 

She then had 11 kills and four aces in Saturday's four-set victory over Dominican. 

Gavin Dwyer (Bensalem, Pa./Father Judge) – CACC Men's Cross Country Co-Rookie of the Week
Dwyer receives his first CACC weekly award after leading Holy Family at Rowan's Border Battle on Saturday. 

The freshmen placed 87th in a field of 215, completing the 8K course in 29:36.9.
