Men’s Soccer Opens Home Schedule Against West Chester

PHILADELPHIA – The HFU men's soccer team opened its home schedule at Tiger Field against West Chester on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Golden Rams 0-5 despite holding a 10-2 edge in corner kicks and outshooting WCU 14-10.

The Tigers doubled up West Chester in attempts in the first half, 8-4, with Georgios Kazantzioglou (Athens, Greece/The Phelps School) working the keeper just 1:39 in, but it was the Golden Rams scoring on both of their shots on net in the 10th and 42nd minutes.

Holy Family had six of the seven attempts in-between those two goals, with both Tajhay Williams (Yallahs, Jamaica/Clarendon College) and Kevin Duffy (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) being denied.

West Chester then scored 55 seconds into the second.
