LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The HFU women's lacrosse team was within one after the first quarter, before Georgian Court pulled away with a 2-7 second quarter in an eventual 4-20 final in the first round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament on Monday.
Maura Kilkenny (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Little Flower Catholic) was involved in both of the Tigers' first quarter goals, first setting up
Paige Affet (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower Catholic) to tie the score at 1-1 four and a half minutes in before later making it 2-3 with 2:30 on the clock.
Individual Highlights
- Kilkenny led Holy Family with three points on one goal and two assists
- She added a ground ball to finish second in the program's single-season history with 53 on the year
- Tori Wolstenholme (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) had double the amount of draw controls as any other player with six, while tying a game-high with five ground balls
- The senior moved into second in program history with 261 career draw controls and fifth in the single-season history with 90
- Payton Pugh (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) tied Abbie D'Ambra (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) with a game-high three caused turnovers to extend her single-season record to 45
- Ava Morrow was second on the Tigers with three ground balls, while making five saves in net
