Men’s Lacrosse Hosts Davis & Elkins for First Home Game in Program History

PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University men's lacrosse team hosted Davis & Elkins at Tiger Field for the first home game in program history on Sunday afternoon, falling to the Senators 5-15. 
 
After the visitors scored the first four goals of the contest, Adam Camille (Providence, R.I./La Salle Academy) got HFU on the board at the end of the first. D&E followed with two goals to begin the second before a last-minute James Bienia (East Moriches, N.Y./Westhampton Beach) tally cut the deficit to 2-6 at the half, but the Senators would outscore the Tigers 0-5 in the third to take control.  
 
Individual Highlights
  • Goalkeeper Bryce Thomas (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter Strasburg) led all players with a season-best eight ground balls, while tying Timmy Tran (Philadelphia, Pa./Harry S. Truman) with a team-high three caused turnovers and making 14 saves
  • Jhay Dameus (Willingboro, N.J./Holy Cross Preparatory Academy) netted the first two goals of his career to match three other Tigers with two points apiece
    • Camille, Bienia and Brent McColligan (Bellmawr, N.J./Triton Regional) all had a goal and an assist
  • Ben Blair (Rochester, N.Y./Penfield) had the game's second highest total with seven ground balls
