HFU men's basketball's CJ Mundell (Somerdale, N.J./Sterling) has received his first career Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week award after averaging 18.0 points on 61.3 percent shooting, 4.7 rebounds, 1.0 block and 1.0 steal per contest in three games last week.
 
The freshman set two season-highs in scoring, beginning with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting in just 17 minutes at Temple on Tuesday.
 
Mundell then had a breakout performance at Mercy the following night, leading all players with 34 points on 12-of-18 shooting and 10 rebounds for his first collegiate double-double. 
 
He ended his week with eight points, two boards, two assists and a block versus Southern Connecticut State on Saturday.
