Holy Family University's
Cheikh Diouf (Dakar, Senegal/MLK) and
Alvaro Orellana (Sevilla, Spain/Colegio Portacell) have both received weekly awards from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) for their performances in a 2-0 week.
Cheikh Diouf (Dakar, Senegal/MLK) – CACC Goalkeeper of the Week
Diouf allowed just one goal over the two matches, totaling five saves. He first made two stops in Tuesday's 4-0 shutout of Chestnut Hill, before registering three in Saturday's 2-1 triumph at Dominican. That included saves just over a minute apart in the 62nd and 63rd as HFU played the final 36:20 with 10 men.
Alvaro Orellana (Sevilla, Spain/Colegio Portacell) – CACC Defender of the Week
Orellana provided an assist and played all but two minutes in defense, as HFU allowed just six shots on goal in the two contests. His long ball over the top of the defense led to the second goal against Chestnut Hill, and he was then instrumental in helping the Tigers hold on with nine men over the last 7:16 on Saturday.
