Volleyball Closes Out Season with Five Set Triumph on Senior Day

PHILADELPHIA – The HFU volleyball team celebrated Senior Day with a five-set triumph over Chestnut Hill in its season finale on Saturday afternoon inside of the Campus Center.  
 
Prior to the match, Holy Family honored its senior class of Morgan Steck (Lakewood, Colo./Lakewood) and Brianna Moss (Gainesville, Va./Battlefield)
 
HFU trailed just once in the decisive fifth, at 0-1, and took the lead for good when an error and Shelby Kinzer (Sioux Falls, S.D./Washington) kill made the score 7-5. After the Griffins cut the deficit to 8-9 and then 9-10, the Tigers closed the match on a 5-1 run that featured two blocks from Ava Kidd (Walton, Ky./Larry A. Ryle (Saint Anselm)).
 
Individual Highlights
  •  Steck tied a match-high with four aces, fell one assist shy of a match-high with 33, and added 10 digs for her fourth consecutive double-double 
  • Moss contributed five digs and two aces in her final career match
  • Jayden Bralts (Jupiter, Fla./Jupiter) led all players with a career-best 22 digs, while Morgan Marziani-Radomski (Aurora, Ill./West Aurora) (season-best four aces) and Leah Logan (Bloomfield, N.J./Abundant Life Academy) (four blocks) both tied match-highs
    • Marziani-Radomski was also recorded double-digit digs, finishing with 10 to tie a season-best
  • Kinzer fell one kill shy of a match-high with 13, while Kidd was also in double-figures with 10 and Kalia Espenlaub (New Market, Md./Saint John's Catholic Prep (Millersville)) added nine
