PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University volleyball team dropped three close sets, 22-25, 26-28 and 19-25, to Wilmington on Tuesday night in the Campus Center.
After the Wildcats closed the first set with five of the final six points to erase a 21-20 deficit, the Tigers failed to convert three set points in the second.
Holy Family then led 15-11 in the third, only for WilmU to come back once more.
Individual Highlights
- Morgan Steck (Lakewood, Colo./Lakewood) (32 assists), Leah Logan (Bloomfield, N.J./Abundant Life Academy) (four blocks) and Cadence Palmer (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) (three aces) all posted match-highs
- Steck and Palmer added nine digs
- Gianna DiPilato (Verbank, N.Y./Millbrook) led the Tigers with a season-best 16 digs, while Keira Rogan (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) was also in double-figures with 11
- Kalia Espenlaub (New Market, Md./Saint John's Catholic Prep (Millersville)) was one of two players in the match with double-digit kills

- Holy Family had more points, kills, blocks and assists, while the two teams both had 55 digs, but the Tigers had 16 service errors to the Wildcats' six
