MILLERSVILLE, Pa. –
Kerin St. Clair Jr.'s (Union, N.J./Union) equalizer with 5:46 remaining, his first career goal, spoiled Millersville's comeback effort - after
Lautaro Berisso (La Plata, Argentina) had opened the scoring - in a 2-2 draw between HFU men's soccer and the Marauders on Wednesday night.
St. Clair first got a header on
Kevin Duffy's (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) cross, which flicked off of
Sergio Revuelta's (Valladolid, Spain/IES Alejandria) chest and settled in the center of the box for St. Clair to pounce on.
That would turn out to salvage the point after Millersville missed just wide in the final minute.
Berisso had opened the scoring for the second match in a row in the 30th minute after
Tajhay Williams (Yallahs, Jamaica/Clarendon College) sent a through ball into the box, deflecting off a defender and settling to Berisso for a turnaround effort from just beyond penalty spot.
Both teams had five shots on goal on the night.
Millersville had the first four attempts of the contest, two of which tested
Luke Shank (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West), before Williams fired the Tigers' first shot on net in the 26th minute.
Holy Family looked to be heading into the break with a lead, but the Marauders equalized with just 2:14 left on the clock.
The Tigers responded well out of the half though, registering the first four attempts as
Alvaro Orellana (Sevilla, Spain/Colegio Portacell) hit the crossbar and Revuelta forced a save in the opening 5:39.
Shank made his final stop in the 62nd minute and St. Clair Jr. worked the Millersville keeper in the 76th, but it was the Marauders breaking through with what looked to be the game-winner just 8:01 ahead of the final whistle.
