PHILADLEPHIA – With the HFU women's basketball team ahead one in the final seconds, a Post offensive rebound and ensuing three-point play with 3.9 second remaining led to the Eagles eventually defeating the Tigers, 57-60, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament Semifinal matchup hosted at Jefferson on Saturday afternoon.

- Carolyn Preost led all players with 17 points on 8-of-14 shooting
- Skyler Searfoss (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe Area) recorded 12 points, a team-high eight rebounds and a game-high six assists
- Ava Morrow (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley) was also in double-figures with 10 points on 5-of-8 field goals
- Lindsay Tretter (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Wood) and Taylor Hinkle (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) both scored six
- Moe Moore (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) posted a team-high two steals

How it Happened
First Quarter
- The two teams traded the first 12 points, before Post went on a 3-10 surge for a 9-16 advantage with 3:12 on the clock
- Holy Family scored the next four, but the Eagles closed the period with two free throws for a 13-18 lead after 10 minutes of play
Second Quarter
- A Tretter 3-pointer less than a minute into the second cut the deficit to three, 16-19, but back-to-back triples by Post established the first of three game-high nine-point cushions, 16-25, with 7:46 left in the half
- The Eagles still led 20-29 inside the final four and a half minutes before Holy Family exploded for 13 unanswered over 2:14
- Five different Tigers scored in the stretch, which ended with HFU on top 33-29 following a Prevost layup 1:59 ahead of the break
- Post would score the last four points of the half for a deadlock entering the locker room
Third Quarter
- Holy Family scored eight of the first 10 points of the third, with a Prevost layup capping six in a row for Tigers' largest lead, 41-35, 4:24 into the second half
- HFU also led by six, 46-40, following a Hinkle jumper three and a half minutes later, but the Eagles would make three 3-pointers over the final 2:46 for a 48-49 edge entering the fourth
Fourth Quarter
- The entirety of the fourth was played within a single possession, with Prevost layups putting HFU ahead 53-51 and 55-53 at the respective 4:52 and 4:09 marks
- A Morrow jumper with 3:07 left then gave the Tigers a 57-54 cushion
- That would be the last time the Tigers would score however, as Post made it a one-point game on two foul shots with 2:13 to go
- Holy Family was able to get back-to-back stops, before Post came up with the offensive rebound and three-point play in the final seconds
- The Tigers had two in-bounds passes with a chance to tie the score or take the lead but were not able to get a shot off, as a turnover led to the Eagles closing out the scoring with a free throw
