How it Happened
First Quarter
- Trailing 7-6, the Huskies scored eight in a row to begin an 2-11 flurry that ended with a 3-pointer for their largest advantage, 9-17, with 1:31 left in the first
- Holy Family made the last two baskets of the quarter though, with Kara Meredith's (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Archbishop Wood) layup cutting the deficit to 13-17
Second Quarter
- Bloomsburg's lead reached eight once more, 15-23, 1:49 into the second
- The Tigers chipped away to within two, 21-23, on a Morrow layup with 5:44 showing, only to have the Huskies respond with back-to-back jumpers
- The advantage was still six, 23-29, two and a half minutes ahead of the break, but two three-point plays by Bolivar, including one with 19 seconds to go, helped HFU knot the score up at 31
Third Quarter
- The first seven and a half minutes of the third were played within a single possession until two Bolivar foul shots made the score 44-40 with 2:28 on the clock
- The lead then reached five, 49-44, when Searfoss closed out the period with a driving layup
Fourth Quarter
- Bloomsburg got as close as close as one, 50-51, 1:23 into the fourth, but a Bolivar layup and then Morrow 3-pointer 41 seconds later made it a two-possession game for good
- The advantage stretched to as large as 13, 65-52, when a Bolivar foul shot capped an 11-0 run with just 3:45 to play
- The Huskies tallied the next nine points to make it a four-point deficit with 1:18 left, but the Tigers made 8-of-10 free throws over the final 59 seconds
