Volleyball Suffers Five-Set Heartbreak to CACC Leader Bridgeport on Senior Night

PHILADELPHIA – The HFU volleyball team had Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) leader Bridgeport on the ropes, leading 2-0, only for the Purple Knights to storm back and win the final three sets on Senior Night at the Campus Center on Friday evening.

Prior to the match, the Tigers honored the senior class of Ashley Petrasovic (Queens, N.Y./Monsignor McClancy Memorial), Natasha Yanief (Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) and Faith Zehnder (Lakewood, Colo./Lakewood), as well as fifth-year Maeve Boylan (Ridley Township, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara).

Holy Family won the first two sets, 25-21 and 25-23, and nearly pulled off an improbable comeback in the third, rallying from 12-22 to within 20-22.
