How it Happened
First Quarter
- HFU responded to its only deficit, 2-4, with five straight points, all of which were by Morrow as her 3-pointer put the Tigers ahead 7-4 midway through the period
- Bridgeport narrowed the deficit to one with the next basket, but back-to-back Prevost layups began six in a row for a 13-6 margin entering the final two minutes
- Four consecutive points by the Purple Knights made it a three-point score, 12-15, in the last minute, but Tretter hit a triple before Anujin Dashdorj (Rockville, Md./Richard Montgomery) beat the buzzer for a 20-14 advantage entering the second
Second Quarter
- Tretter would then open the second with back-to-back 3-pointers for the first double-digit lead, and the Purple Knights only managed to get as close as nine twice, the second occasion occurring at 30-21 entering the final minute
- Taylor Hinkle (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) would answer with a trifecta, establishing the third first-half-high 12-point advantage heading into the locker room
Third Quarter
- Bridgeport would get as close as eight with the first four points of the second half, only for Moore to make back-to-back layups
- The two teams traded points until another Tretter 3-pointer followed another Moore layup, and after the Purple Knights pulled within 12 one final time, Riepe closed the quarter with a triple of her own for a 51-36 score-line entering the fourth
Fourth Quarter
- Riepe would go on to score the first five points of the final stanza, before a Pravost layup established the largest lead of the afternoon, 58-36
