PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University men's soccer team scored five minutes within either side of halftime to erase Felician's opening goal, leading to a 3-1 triumph over the regionally-ranked Golden Falcons on Saturday afternoon at Tiger Field.
After Felician opened the scoring a half hour into play,
Marcelo Ibarra (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) netted his first career goal just 1:06 ahead of the break.
Joel Richmond (Bridgetown, Barbados/Church Farm), who assisted Ibarra's equalizer, then curled in a beautiful free kick 4:34 out of the half for what turned out to be the game-winner, before
Gavin Rowan (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) added what turned out to be unneeded insurance just after the hour mark.
Luke Shank (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) made three saves down the stretch to secure the two-goal victory.
