PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Holy Family University softball team split a conference doubleheader with Jefferson University Saturday. Senior
Ashley Remington (Collegeville, Pa./Pope John Paul II) recorded the win in game one, her sixth straight. The doubleheader was the final regular season contests for the Tigers.

How It Happened (Game 1)
* It was all defense and pitching through the first six innings as neither team plated a run. With two outs in the top of the seventh, freshman
Lauren Hagy (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) sent a shot over the left field wall to score freshman Alexis Letitzia who doubled the at-bat before.
* Remington retired the Jefferson batters in order in the bottom of the inning securing the victory.
Inside the Box Score (Game 1)
* Remington allowed five hits in the game while striking out four. This win makes it five complete game shutouts in a row.
* Hagy led the Tigers going 2-for-3 on the day. The team totaled six hits.
How It Happened (Game 2)
* Game two started in the same manner with the first three innings scoreless. Julia Heine doubled in the bottom of the fourth for two runs to put the Rams up.
* Freshman
Emma Clayborne (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) answered in the top of the fifth with a solo shot to center field making it 2-1.
* Jefferson came back in the bottom of the fifth off an error and two hits. An RBI single from Sam Gomez in the sixth made it 6-1 in the Rams favor.
* Holy Family threatened in the seventh putting Clayborne and senior
Elaina Hansen (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) in scoring position but were unable to plate the runs ending the game in Jefferson's favor.

Sam Ciasullo (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) recorded the loss pitching 5.1 innings allowing two earned runs off of nine hits. Junior
Makenna Patterson (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge) came in relief allowing only one hit in .2 innings of work.
* Gianna DeLorenzo got the win for the Rams going the full distance allowing an earned run off of three hits while striking out nine.
* Clayborne led the Tigers on offense going 2-for-3.
* Gomez led all hitters going a perfect 4-for-4 on the day.
