RUTHERFORD, N.J.– The Holy Family University softball team dropped a pair of games to Felician University Saturday night in conference action. The Tigers lead through most of the game in the opener but could not hold off a Felician comeback losing 8-7. The Falcons pitching shut down Holy Family in the second game taking it 6-1.

How It Happened (Game 1)
* After two scoreless innings, freshman
Emma Clayborne (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) hit a bases-loaded , two-out single to score two putting the Tigers on the board.
* Holy Family plated five more in the fifth with senior
Elaina Hansen (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) highlighting the inning with a three run bomb to centerfield.
* Felician's Daisha Howard capped off a six-run sixth with three RBI off a double bringing the game to within one. Mia Martinez hit the game winning homerun to win it 8-7.
Inside the Box Score (Game 1)
* Clayborne finished the game with three hits and two RBI. Hansen added a team-leading three RBI.
* Freshman
Jalecia Blackston (Levittown, Pa./Bucks County Technical) recorded the loss having come in relief in the seventh. Senior
Ashley Remington (Collegeville, Pa./Pope John Paull II) started and went six innings allowing six runs off of six hits with four strikeouts.
* For Felician, Jaylene Sierra recorded three hits while leading her team with three RBI. Starter Alexis De La Cruz recorded the complete game win allowing seven runs off of 13 hits while striking out six.
How It Happened (Game 2)
* Hansen sent a solo shot to centerfield in the fourth to plate the only run for the Tigers in the game.
* Felician scored in all but two innings including two runs in the third off of sac flys.
Inside the Box Score (Game 2)
* Felician's Mariana Crumb recorded the win pitching seven innings, allowing only four hits and one run.
* Senior
Jasmine Martinez (Riverside, Calif./Riverside Polytechnic) led the Tigers with two hits.
* Junior
Makenna Patterson (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge) recorded the loss pitching six innings allowing nine hits and only three earned runs. The Holy Family defense committed six errors behind her.
* Krystina Lorch recorded two hits and two runs to lead the Felician offense.
