How It Happened vs. Assumption

* A five-run fifth inning by Assumption turned out to be the difference in the game.  Leading 2-1, the Greyhounds plated five runs on five hits to lead 7-1 through five innings.  The first seven Greyhound batters reached base before an out was recorded.  Mackenzie Bruggeman highlighted the inning with a two-run single.

* The Tigers got two of the runs back in the top half of the sixth when senior Elaina Hansen (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) connected on her first home run of the season.  With two outs in the inning, Hansen delivered a shot over the left field fence to also score freshman Emma Clayborne (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) who singled prior to Hansen's at-bat.

* Assumption scored single runs in the second and third innings.  The Tigers made it a 2-1 game in the fourth when Hansen drove in freshman Dana Moser (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan (Stockton)) with a single up the middle.
