Tigers Fall to Marauders on the Road



Millersville, Pa. – The Holy Family University women's lacrosse team dropped a non-conference road contest against Millersville University by the score of 22-5 on Wednesday afternoon at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium.

How It Happened
 
* Millersville scored the first seven goals of the game, including two each by Charlotte Lasak and Gillian Zimmerman to lead 7-0 by the 6:06 mark of the first quarter. 
 
* Holy Family got on the board with three minutes remaining in the opening quarter when senior Tatceyana Pulley (Edgewater Park, N.J./Burlington City) found the back of the net for her first goal of the season.  The Marauders added two more goals by quarter's end to lead 9-1 heading into the second quarter.
 
* Millersville held the Tigers to just one goal again in the second quarter to expand its lead to 15-2 with six more scores. The Marauders went on to outscore the Tigers, 7-3, in the second half.
 
Inside the Box Score
 
* Pulley along with junior Lynn Hardy (Audubon, N.J./Camden Catholic) finished with two points on the day.  Puelly tallied one goal and one assist, while Hardy totaled a team-high two goals.
 
* Freshman Rianna Shields (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) also scored for the Tigers as she finished the game with two goals. 
 
* Junior goalkeeper Caitlyn Musick (Bensalem, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) led the Tigers with six ground balls to go along with 11 saves in net.
 
* For Millersville, Krista Kada totaled a game-high seven points on five goals and two assists. Amanda Juliano finished with six points after scoring five goals and assisting on another.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the fifth meeting between Holy Family and Millersville since the start of the 2014 season.  The Tigers are now 1-4 against the Marauders in the all-time series.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Saturday, March 5 as the Tigers host Edinboro University in the team's home opener on New Tiger Field.  Game time is set for 1 p.m.
