How It Happened vs. Charleston

* Holy Family lit up the scoreboard first thanks to a solo home run by senior Abigail Smith (Elkton, Md./Red Lion Christian Academy).  With two outs in the top half of the third inning, Smith launched a shot over the right-center field fence to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead.

* In the fourth inning, the Tigers piled on the runs to take a commanding 4-0 lead in the game.  Holy Family scored all three runs before recording a single out in the inning.  Freshman Lauren Hagy (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) highlighted the inning with a two-run single.

* In the bottom of the fourth, the Golden Eagles got one of the runs back with a sacrifice fly by Mikayla Ferguson.

* Charleston made things interesting in the bottom of the seventh inning.  After the first two batters reached base via base on balls, the Tigers retired the next two batters in the inning.  Hannah Rose was then hit by a pitch to load the bases for the Golden Eagles.  Kendal Marshall followed with a two-run single to make the score 4-3.  However, Holy Family starter, Sam Ciasullo (Springfield, Pa./Springfield), forced a popup for the final out to record her first collegiate victory.
