ORANGEBURG, N.Y. – Playing on the road for the second day in a row, the Holy Family University volleyball team fell to Dominican on Saturday afternoon.
Individual Highlights
- Skylar Osenkarski (Harding, Pa./Holy Redeemer) fell one kill shy of both a match and career-high with 11
- Morgan Steck (Lakewood, Colo./Lakewood) tied Shelby Kinzer (Sioux Falls, S.D./Washington) with a match-best two aces, while also pacing the Tigers with 27 assists
- Faith Zehnder (Lakewood, Colo./Lakewood) led HFU with eight digs, while Natasha Yanief (Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) and Isabella Mosquera (West Chicago, Ill./Saint Charles East) tied for a team-high with two blocks
- Mosquera is now seventh in the program's single-season history with 81 blocks and eighth with 55 block assists

- The Tigers had five aces to the Chargers' three, while the two teams were separated by just one dig, 37-38
How it Happened
First Set (25-18)
- Dominican scored five of the first six and nine of the first 11 points as it never trailed
- HFU made a late push with seven straight points that featured three Osenkarski kills and two Kinzer service aces to get as close as 18-21, but the Chargers would score the final four points of the set
Second Set (25-17)
- Again Dominican never trailed as this time it scored six of the first seven points
- Holy Family got as close as one twice, including at 7-8, but the Chargers took control with seven unanswered
- The Tigers then scored five in a row to cut the deficit to 12-15, but Dominican answered with four straight
Third Set (25-17)
- The Chargers started quick once more with the first five points
- Holy Family pulled within two on seven occasions but could never get closer
- A Osenkarski kill made the score 16-18, but Dominican had one final run of six consecutive points en route to the victory
