How It Happened

* Holy Family led 67-59 with 1:26 to play in regulation after Moore converted a pair of free throws to give the Tigers their biggest lead of the game.  However, over the next 39-seconds, the Rams went on an 8-0 run to tie the game at 67-67 after two free throw baskets by Maeve McCann.

* Free throws were the theme in the final minute as Moore once again converted a pair to break the tie and give the Tigers a 69-67 advantage on the team's following possession.  After a timeout by Jefferson, the Rams tied the game at 69-69 with Cassie Murphy scoring a quick layup.  On the ensuing possession, the Tigers turned the ball over with :28 seconds left.  The Rams, with the shot clock turned off, had the opportunity to win the game on the final possession.  Jefferson missed four shots on the possession grabbing three offensive boards.  On the final miss, Moore was fouled and sent to the free throw line with 1.1 seconds.

* With the game tied 69-69, Moore missed the first attempt but recovered to sink the second to give the Tigers a one-point lead.  The Rams followed with a timeout and chose to advance the ball.  Sophomore Carolyn Prevost (Belle Mead, N.J./Montgomery) guarded the inbounds pass and was able to interrupt the pass and record the steal as time expired.

* Holy Family also had to overcome an eight-point deficit in the game.  The Tigers trailed 44-36 at the 7:03 mark of the third quarter.  Over a two-minute span the Tigers went from trailing by eight to leading by one.  A jumper by freshman Ava Morrow (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley) capped a 9-0 run as the Tigers led 45-44 by the midway point of the quarter.  The Tigers went on to lead, 50-48, by quarters end.
