How It Happened

* A shot off the foot of Dominican's Giacomo Salvarezza turned out to be the difference in the game as the Chargers scored the game's lone goal in the 33rd minute.  Teammate Fredy Rosales-Santos served the ball into the box off a direct kick finding Salvarezza who found the back part of the lower right corner of the net for the score.

* Holy Family had a big opportunity to tie the game in the 71st minute when senior Anthony Boyle (Philadelphia, Pa./La Salle) and junior Joel Richmond (Bridgetown, Barbados/Church Farm) had back-to-back shots on-goal.  However, Dominican keeper Joshua Stephens managed to make the stop on both attempts.  Those two attempts were the Tigers final shots that were on-target.

* Senior goalkeeper Mark Tobin (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (La Salle Univ.)) kept the Tigers in the game as he totaled six saves in the game, including four in the second half.

News and Notes

* Tobin finished the season with 31 saves increasing his career total to 152.  He ranks ninth all-time in career saves.  Tobin also registered a 1.00 goals against average on the year lowering his career average to 1.40 which is the lowest in program history.

* Today's semifinal appearance marked the first time the Tigers competed in the conference semifinals in back-to-back seasons.  Holy Family was making its third straight appearance in the CACC Tournament and 12th overall since joining Division II in 2003.  The Tigers are now 5-9-3 all-time in the CACC Tournament with the three ties resulting in shootout defeats.

All-Time Series
Today marked the 26th meeting between Holy Family and Dominican since the start of the 1998 season.  The Tigers are now 8-15-3 versus the Chargers in the all-time series.
