How It Happened

* Holy Family scored the game's first goal in the 20th minute and never looked back.  Junior Jacqueline Ziegler (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) fired a shot from point-blank range in-front of the net off a pass from freshman Gianna Monaco (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead.  The score remained that way until the 42nd minute when Ziegler struck again from nearly the same location as her first score.  Freshman Mel Prinos (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) was credited with the assist as Holy Family led 2-0 entering halftime.

* It didn't take long for the Tigers to find the back of the net in the second half.  Monaco came through with the score after breaking through the defense and firing a shot from the right side.  Zielger got the play started with the initial pass to Monaco.

* Leading 3-0 the Tigers struck again, this time it was junior Kait Findlay (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) in the 62nd minute with the goal.  Ziegler once again set up the score as she set up a pass from the far right-side from about 30 yards out towards Findlay on the left side of the box.  Tigers tacked on another goal in the 80th minute when sophomore Stephanie Marino (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) broke up a pass in the Dominican zone and fired on net for a wide open shot for her first goal of the season.

News and Notes

* Ziegler finished with a career-high six points on two goals and two assists.  It marked her second career multi goal game and her first since her freshman season.

* Senior Brianna Pudlo (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) tied her season-high with five saves to secure her first shutout of the season.
* The Holy Family defense held Dominican to just seven shots on the afternoon.  It's the fifth time this season the Tigers limited an opponent to single digit shots.
