How It Happened

* McCormick connected on the game-winning score in the 92nd minute thanks to a thru pass up the middle of the field from sophomore Dakota Taylor (Willow Grove, Pa./Archbishop Wood).  McCormick was able to beat the Concordia defense while receiving the perfectly place pass for the score.  Prior to Taylor's pass, the Holy Family defense intercepted a long pass from the Concordia keeper around midfield to set up the play.

* Holy Family led majority of the game after an early goal in the 18th minute by senior Mike Smith (Southampton, Pa./Archbishop Wood).  The play started when senior goalkeeper Mark Tobin (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (La Salle Univ.)) launched a free kick from the Tigers' zone and on the receiving end was sophomore Sean Touey (Rockledge, Pa./Abington) who headed the ball towards the box to find Smith for a wide open shot on the left side.

* Holy Family led 1-0 until the 73rd minute when Concordia tied the game with a goal by Johan Feilscher.

Nationally Ranked?  No Problem!
Concordia is the second straight nationally ranked opponent the Tigers have defeated in the past two seasons. During the 2019 season, the Tigers defeated then No. 15 Wilmington University, 2-0, back on Oct. 2.  The Clippers are the third nationally ranked team the Tigers have defeated in the program's Division II era.  On Oct. 25, 2011, Holy Family defeated No. 13 Millersville University, 1-0, on Tiger Field.

All-Time Series
Today marked the 15th meeting between Holy Family and Concordia since the start of the 2005 season.  The Tigers are now 9-5-1 versus the Clippers in the all-time series. Three of the last four meetings in the series has gone to overtime.
