Johnson Named CACC Co-Player of the Year; Silks Selected Setter of the Year; Hartney Tabbed All-CACC

New Haven, Conn. – Holy Family University senior Camille Johnson (Columbia, Md./Wilde Lake) has been named the 2021-20 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Volleyball Co-Player of the Year as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara on Tuesday morning.  Johnson shares this year's honor with Georgian Court University junior Kinsy Haschke.

In addition, junior Morgan Silks (Norristown, Pa./Archbishop John Carroll) was named the CACC Setter of the Year for the third straight season as she has established herself as one of the top setters in the conference.  Furthermore, sophomore Allyssa Hartney (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) was selected to the All-CACC team along with Johnson and Silks.

Johnson is the third Holy Family women's volleyball student-athlete to earn Player of the Year accolades in the last three seasons joining Chase Wassel (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) (2018) and current teammate Carly Covington (Delmar, Md./Delmar) (2019) to earn the honor as the conference's top player.

Johnson, who also is earning All-CACC honors for the first time in her career, is averaging a career-high 2.26 kills per set this season and has committed just 14 errors on 108 attempts good enough for a career-high .269 attack percentage.  In addition to her success on the offensive side, Johnson has been just as impressive defensively totaling 16 blocks this season (5BS, 11BA).  She currently has 142 career blocks; 11th best all-time in program history.

Silks, now a three-time All-CACC selection, is earning Setter of the Year honors for the third straight season and rightfully so as she leads the conference with 203 assists this season at a clip of 10.68 assists per set. She has totaled 30-plus assists in each match this season; including a season-high 38 against Georgian Court. Defensively, Silks is averaging a career-high 3.32 digs per set.

Against Georgian Court, Silks surpassed 3,000 assists in her career becoming the third player in program history to reach the milestone.  She currently has 3,102 and trails former standout Chelsea Keegan (Bucyrus, Ohio/Colonel Crawford) by 40 assists for second place on the all-time list.  Keegan recorded 3,142 assists in her career that spanned from 2010-2013.

Hartney is earning All-CACC honors for the first time in her career as she is averaging a career-high 3.28 kills per set while holding a career-best .273 attack percentage.  She has recorded an attack percentage of .500 or better twice this season with a career-best .526 against Felician University.  Hartney had 11 kills with only one error on 19 attempts.

This season she has recorded double-digit kills in five of six matches this year, including a season-high 11 kills twice versus Caldwell University and Felician.  Her 3.28 kills per set is fifth best in the conference this season.

In 40 career matches Hartney has totaled 406 kills and is averaging 2.86 kills per set with a career attack percentage of .175.

Holy Family finished the regular season 5-1 and as a result earned the second seed in this year's CACC Tournament.  The Tigers will host seventh-seeded Dominican College tonight in quarterfinal action starting at 6 p.m. at the Campus Center Gymnasium.  As a reminder, per CACC Policy fans are not permitted at any contest this season.  You can catch tonight's action by visiting athletics.holyfamily.edu/coverage.
