How It Happened

* Holy Family scored the final nine points in overtime to overcome a six-point deficit as Molloy held a 62-56 lead after a three-pointer by Safiyyah Lee with 2:22 left in the extra frame.  Junior Moe Moore (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) helped cut into the Lions' lead by converting a pair of free throws at the 1:43 mark.  Two possessions later sophomore Anujin Dashdorj (Rockville, Md./Richard Montgomery) was fouled while attempting a three-pointer with :40 seconds left on the clock.  Dashdorj went on to convert all three free throws to bring the Tigers to within one point at 62-61.

* With :32 seconds remaining, Molloy missed two free throws which could have given the Lions a three-point lead.  Moore grabbed the defensive board as the Tigers quickly called a timeout.  Outside the timeout Moore knocked down a jumper inside the paint while falling backwards to give the Tigers a 63-62 lead with :17 seconds left.  On the ensuing Lions possession, Moore got tied up with Molloy's Gabriella Aspuru resulting in a jump ball.  With the Tigers holding possession, Moore was credited with the steal.  Forced to foul, the Lions intentionally fouled Anujin who in return converted both free throws to give the Tigers a 65-62 lead.  On the final Lions possession, Aspuru launched a shot just beyond midcourt for a desperation three but her shot fell short as time expired.

* Holy Family led by as many as 15 points twice in the game with the latter coming in the early part of the third quarter when sophomore Jenn Kokolus (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) split a pair of free throws to make the score 32-17.

* Holy Family led 44-33 at the start of the fourth quarter, but Molloy outscored the Tigers, 19-8, in the final part of regulation.  Aspuru capped the scoring in regulation with a jumper that tied the game at 52-52 with :55 seconds remaining.  Both teams missed potential go-ahead shots on their final possessions in regulation.
