Game Recap

* Two first-half goals by the Eagles, more specific by Phillimon Bedard-Khalid, turned out to be the difference.  Post jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Bedard-Khalid scored his first of two goals in the 12th minute of action.  He struck again in the 35th minute to double Post's lead to 2-0 before heading to halftime 10 minutes late with a two goal advantage.  The Eagles pressured the Holy Family defense with 12 of their game-high 20 shots in the first half.

* Holy Family cut the lead in half early in the second half when junior Sean McCormick (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) scored his sixth goal of the season in the 57th minute to make the score 2-1. Minutes later the Tigers nearly tied the game but a shot by freshman Dakota Taylor (Willow Grove, Pa./Archbishop Wood) was stopped by the Eagles' net minder, David Mollenthial.

*  Senior goalkeeper Mark Tobin (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (La Salle Univ.)) made six saves in net for the Tigers, including a pair in the second half to keep the Tigers within one goal of the lead. He finishes the season with a career-high 62 saves.

News and Notes

* The 11 wins by the Tigers this season are the most since the 2011 season when the team also won 11 games.  This year also marked the first time since 2011 that the Tigers advanced to the CACC semifinals.  Unfortunately, Post also ended the Tigers title hopes that year as well in the semifinals.

* Holy Family finished conference play with an 8-4-0 record as the Tigers set a program record for most conference victories in a season during the program's Division II era.

All-Time Results
Today marked the 25th meeting between Holy Family and Post since the start of the 1999 season.  The Tigers and Eagles are even in the series with an 11-11-3 record.
