How It Happened

* Holy Family trailed early in the first set 9-4 before eventually tying the set at 12-12.  Thanks to four straight points later in the set the Tigers led 20-17 but that advantage was short lived as the Golden Falcons responded with five straight points to recapture the lead at 22-21.  Holy Family followed with three straight kills to lead 24-22.  The Tigers took the set after freshman Caitlin Griffin (St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul) recorded a kill at 25-23.

* In the second set the Tigers once again trailed early on but late rallies propelled the Tigers to another victory.  Down 18-15, Holy Family tallied eight unanswered points to grab a 23-18 lead.  Senior Chase Wassel (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) recorded two kills and had three service aces during the run.

* Holy Family took care of business in the third and final set.  The Tigers' offense totaled 15 kills with a .414 attack percentage.  Holy Family committed just three errors in the set, while its defense stifled the Felician offense.

News and Notes

* Wassel recorded her second 20-plus kill performance of the season as she led the match with 20 kills to go along with three aces and seven digs.

* Sophomore Carly Covington (Delmar, Md./Delmar) totaled 11 kills while recording a season-best .391 hitting percentage.  She also tallied 10 digs.
