Bronxville, N.Y. - The Holy Family University men's basketball team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest to Concordia College by the score of 68-63 on Saturday afternoon at the Meyer Athletic Center.

How It Happened
 
* Holy Family held its biggest lead of first half as the Tigers mounted an eight point advantage after junior Mekhi Bryant (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsburg (Baltimore City C.C.)) knocked down a three-pointer to make the score 28-20 at the 7:21 mark.  Concordia though responded by outscoring the Tigers, 19-3, the rest of the half as the Clippers took a 39-31 lead into the locker rooms at halftime.
 
* In the second half the Clippers extended their lead to 15 points after opening up with a 9-2 surge to make the score 48-33 at the 17:03 mark.  Despite the deficit the Tigers rallied all the way back to eventually tie the game at 62-62 after sophomore Maliq Sanders (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) split a pair of free throws with 3:37 to play.
 
* With the game tied at 62-62, Concordia went on another run.  The Clippers held the Tigers to just one point in the final three minutes to pull away with a 68-63 victory.
 
Inside the Box Score
Holy Family: Sanders led the Tigers in scoring with 18 points to go along with three steals on defense… Bryant finished with 12 points, while freshman Michael Power (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) totaled 10 points and a game-high six assists… Sophomore Sean Griffin (Abington, Pa./philmont Christian) supllied the Tigers with nine points and eight rebounds off the bench.
 
Concordia: Justyn Gardner and Brandon Fields led the Clippers with 12 points apiece… Elijah Brown totaled 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the ninth meeting between Holy Family and Concordia dating back to the start of the 2009-10 season.  The Tigers are now 3-6 versus the Clippers.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 21 as the Tigers host Chestnut Hill College in the final home game of the season. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
