How It Happened

* Freshman Anjelai Hayes (Woodbury, N.J./Woodbury) jumpstarted the Holy Family offense as she opened with a three-point shot four seconds into the game.  The Tigers led majority of the first half with the exception of a brief advantage by the Bears at 21-20 at the 7:16 mark of the quarter.  Holy Family led by as many as five points in the half of separate occasions but Bloomfield went on to tie the game (31-31) by the end of the half when Dayanni Cochran scored a layup as the final seconds winded down.

* In the second half both teams exchanged baskets four times to open up the half.  In a back-and-forth driven game, neither side was able to compile a lead larger than one possession.  It wasn't until the Bears scored the final six points of the third quarter that a team held a lead larger than two possessions.  Bloomfield took a 49-44 lead into the fourth quarter.

* The Bears carried the momentum into the fourth quarter as the hosts score four more unanswered points to complete a 10-0 run and as a result grabbing a nine-point lead (53-44). However, over the next five-plus minutes the Tigers went on a run of their own scoring 10 of the next 12 points to cut the lead down to a single point.  A layup by Hayes with 4:26 remaining made the score 55-54.

* Despite the rally the Bears responded scoring 11 straight points and in the process kept the Holy Family offense off the scoreboard until the final :25 seconds of the game.
