Newark, Del. - The Holy Family University women's lacrosse team came up short at Wilmington University in the final regular season game of the season as the Tigers came away with a 15-9 victory in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Saturday afternoon at the WU Athletics Complex.

How It Happened
Wilmington outscored Holy Family, 9-1, in the first half and maintained its lead the rest of the way to pick up the regular season final victory. The Wildcats scored the game's first two goals before sophomore
Vanessa Pagliei (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) tallied a goal for the Tigers to make the score, 2-1.
From there, the Wildcats scored seven unanswered goals over the final 20 minutes of the first half to take a 9-1 advantage into halftime.
In the second half, Wilmington grabbed a double-digit lead after recording back-to-back goals after the Tigers opened the half with a goal. As the half progressed the Wildcats led 14-4 at the 14:26 mark. Holy Family rallied with four straight goals by four different players to cut the lead down to six at 14-8 with 2:43 to play.
Wilmington tacked on a goal in the final minute to snap the Tigers' run before senior
