Tigers Fall to Dolphins, 7-2

Clermont, Fla. - An early deficit was too much for the Holy Family University softball team to overcome as the Tigers dropped a non-conference contest to Le Moyne College, 7-2, on Monday night at the PFX Spring Games in Clermont, Fla.

Score: Le Moyne 7, Holy Family 2
Records: Holy Family (1-3) | Le Moyne (9-3)
Location: Clermont, Fla. (Legends Way)

How It Happened
Le Moyne jumped out early scoring a pair of runs in the first inning.  Sabrina Riley recorded a run scoring triple and would score herself after Kelly Mascari drove her home with an infield hit.  The Dolphins tacked on another run in the fourth inning to take a 3-0 lead before blowing the game open with a four-run fifth inning.

Mascari highlighted the inning with a grand slam home run to give to give the Dolphins a 7-0 advantage. Mascari finished the game with five RBI.

Holy Family got on the board in the sixth inning thanks to run scoring hits by freshman Kelsey Marigliano (Seaford, N.Y./Plainledge) and redshirt junior Amanda Paredes (Moorpark, Calif./Thousand Oaks).  Marigliano doubled to left field to score freshman Alina Ponce De Leon (Menifee, Calif./Heritage) and later scored on Paredes' single.
