How It Happened
Bloomfield held all of the momentum early in the game as the Bears opened with a 24-8 run to take a 16-point lead by the 12:39 mark. However, the initial deficit didn't seem to shake the Tigers.  Holy Family responded with a run that cut the score down to four points by the 8:39 mark.  Over a four-minute span, Holy Family rallied with 15-3 run to make the score 27-23.  Hudson-Emory capped the run with a pair of free throws as he went on to convert a perfect 12-of-12 from the line in the first half.

Bloomfield slowly began building its lead again and led 40-31 with 3:07 to play in the half.  The Tigers once again rallied and went on to close the half with a 14-3 run to tie the game at 43-43 heading into halftime.

Holy Family opened the second half with a 7-0 run and to grab its first lead since the 18:03 mark of the first half. The Tigers maintained control of the lead up until the 13:55 mark when Bloomfield tied the game at 57-57.

Over the next 12-plus minutes, both teams exchanged leads 12 times and tied the game six times before Holy Family grabbed the final advantage of the game. Trailing 85-84 with 1:16 to play, Hudson-Emory converted yet another pair of free throws to give the Tigers a one-point lead.  After a defensive stop by Holy Family Family, thanks to a steal by freshman Sean Griffin (Abington, Pa./philmont Christian), the Tigers went to the line to seal the deal.  Bell knocked in two free throws to increase the lead to three points (88-85) with :41 seconds left on the clock.

Another steal by the Holy Family defense led to two more made free throws to cap the scoring.  The Tigers' defense held Bloomfield to two missed three-pointers on the Bears' final possession.
