How It Happened

* Queens opened the game with a 10-0 run and led by as many as 12 points in the first half but it was Holy Family that held the lead when the half was all said and done.  The Tigers chipped away at the Queens' lead and eventually grabbed their first lead of the game at the 7:28 mark after junior Mekhi Bryant (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsburg (Baltimore City C.C.)) converted a pair of free throws to make the score 22-21.  From there the Tigers scored the next five points to increase their lead to 27-21.  Holy Family would go on to maintain the lead the rest of the half and entered the locker rooms at halftime with a slim 39-38 advantage.

* In the second half neither team held a lead larger than two possessions and the lead itself switched hands eight times, while the score was tied on nine separate occasions.  With the game tied 77-77 at the 6:33 mark, redshirt sophomore Ryan Corcoran (Royersford, Pa./Spring Ford) drained a three-pointer to give the Tigers the lead and jump-start an 11-0 run.  Concoran finished with a season-high nine points…Sanders capped the run with a three-pointer of his own to make the score 88-77 with 3:33 remaining in regulation.  He scored 18 of his game-high 31 points in the second half.

* Queens cut the Holy Family lead down to four points with 1:30 to play after a Jelani Williams layup made the score 89-85.  The Tigers though went on to convert 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the final minute all from Sanders capping his day 9-of-11 from the line.
