How It Happened
Holy Family wasted no time lighting up the scoreboard as the Tigers struck within the first three minutes of the game.  Sophomore Brianna Rock (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) drove down the left side and shot it past the Wilmington goalkeeper for her team leading eighth goal of the season.

The score remained that way through the rest of the half as Holy Family took a 1-0 lead into halftime.  The Tigers would go on to double their lead early in the second stanza when junior Shannon Metzler (Erial, N.J./St. Josephs (Hammonton)) took a header shot from six yards out in the 59th minute.  Freshman Casey Rodgers (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) was credited with the assist after launching the free kick from 30 yards away.  The goal marked Metzler's third of the season.

Holy Family was working on a shutout but Wilmington finally got past the defense and senior goalkeeper Sienna Smith (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville Regional) in the 72nd minute.  Teigha Ward scored her second goal of the season to cut the Tigers' lead in half at 2-1.  Smith finished the game with one save after five shots by the Wildcats.

Wilmington managed just one shot the rest of the way as shots were at a premium on the afternoon. The Wildcats had back-to-back corner kick opportunities in the final minute but both attempts amounted to zero shot attempts.

Holy Family held Wilmington to five shots the entire game, including one attempt in the first half.  Meanwhile the Tigers attempted 11 shots with nine coming in the final 45 minutes.
