How It Happened
Holy Family led on a couple of occasions early in the first half.  The Tigers took a 2-1 lead when senior Paige Settar (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) scored a man-up goal at the 26:18 mark.  The Rams would go on to tie the game before freshman Vanessa Pagliei (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) scored her first goal of the game to make the score 3-2.

Philadelphia responded with three straight goals over a three-minute span to take a 5-3 lead with 16:37 to play in the first half.

The lead would be short lived as Holy Family answered with back-to-back goals from senior Erin Harmer (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) to tie the game by the 8:20 mark.  However, Philadelphia closed out the first half with three unanswered goals and as a result took an 8-5 advantage entering halftime.

In the second half, the Rams opened the scoring with a goal from Kathryn Avanzato to increase the lead to 9-5.  The Tigers countered with a goal from Pagliei minutes later to cut the deficit back down to three goals.

That turned out to be the Tigers' final goal until the 4:27 mark of the half.  Holy Family went over 20-minutes without a goal and in the process the Rams tallied three unanswered goals to lead 12-6 with 10:34 remaining in regulation.

Senior Nicole Braungart (Medford, N.J./Bishop Eustace) and Harmer scored back-to-back goals in the closing minutes to cut the lead to 12-8 but that would be as close as the Tigers would get, as time was not on their side.
