Waterbury, Conn. - The Holy Family University women's volleyball team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest at Post University by the score of 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
The Post attack played a big factor in the match as the Eagles recorded 43 kills with a .283 attack percentage throughout the three sets.  The Eagles' defense totaled a match-high 45 digs and held the Holy Family offense in-check with just 24 kills.  As a team, Holy Family recorded an attack percentage of .072. 
 
Inside the Box Score
Holy Family: Sophomore Chase Wassel (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) led the team with 11 kills, while freshman Gianna Pesognelli (Phoenix, Ariz./Pinnacle) provided the offense with five kills.  Sophomore Kelly Bergen (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) led the team with 11 digs and sophomore Candyce Riley (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) added four kills and 11 digs. Junior Kacie Brien (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township) finished with 20 assists and two aces.
 
Post: Morgan Griffin finished with a match-high 13 kills while hitting at a .478 clip.  She also totaled 11 digs on defense.  Skylar German also finished with 11 digs to go along with four block assists. Brianna Root led the match with 31 assists. 
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 19th meeting all-time between Holy Family and Post dating back to the 2003 season.  Despite the loss, the Tigers still hold the edge in the series with a 10-9 record versus the Eagles.
 
Postseason Picture
With two weeks remaining in the regular season the Tigers currently sit in fourth place in the CACC South Division with a 9-7 record.  Holy Family leads Wilmington University by three matches in the win column for the final spot out of the South Division.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Wednesday, Nov. 2 as the Tigers travel to face Goldey-Beacom College in a CACC South Division contest.  Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
