Tigers End Season With Setback at Georgian Court



Lakewood, N.J. - The Holy Family University men's soccer team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest at Georgian Court University by the score of 2-0 on Tuesday afternoon to close the 2016 regular season.

How It Happened
Georgian Court the games first goal about midway through the first half when Daniel Vicente converted a header shot off a cross pass from Ricardo Viscones of his second goal of the season.  Vicente's goal gave the Lions a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute.
 
The score remained that way through the rest of the half and deep into the second stanza.  It wasn't until the 76th minute that Georgian Court struck again.  A cross, one touch pass from Craig Smith led to a goal by Michael Clarke extending the Lions lead to 2-0.  It marked Clarke's seventh goal of the season.
 
The Georgian Court defense limited the Tigers to just three shots the entire game.  Senior Justin Hiltwine (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) had two shots on goal, while fellow senior Connor Stackhouse (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) was credited with a shot on-goal.
 
Senior Dylan Rutledge (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) finished the game with four saves in net for the Tigers after facing 15 shots by the Lions.
