How It Happened
Philadelphia grabbed the momentum early on in the match that propelled the Rams to the three set victory.  After Holy Family tied the first set 15-15 with a kill from sophomore Chase Wassel (North Wales, Pa./Lansdale Catholic), the Rams recorded back-to-back points to take a two-point advantage.  From there Philadelphia never relinquished the lead and eventually took a four-point lead, the biggest of the set, with three straight kills that resulted in a 22-18 advantage.  The Rams went on to win the set, 25-20.

Philadelphia used an 11-4 run to open the second set and never looked back.  The Rams led by as many as 15 points after scoring five unanswered points while already leading, 18-8.  Philadelphia took the set, 25-11, and then followed with a 25-22 victory in the third set to take the match. The Rams opened the third set similar to the previous with a 7-2 run.  Despite the deficit the Tigers chipped away at the Philadelphia lead and came within one point on six separate occasions late in the set.  However, the Rams responded each time with a score preventing the Tigers to tie the set and even grabbing the lead.
