How We Got Here
The Holy Family defense limited USciences to just 22.6-percent shooting in the first half on its way to a 23-14 halftime lead.  The Tigers closed out the first half with a 10-2 run after Wes Kerr brought the Devils within one point (13-12) at the 9:38 mark.  Holy Family swelled its lead to as many as nine points (23-14) when redshirt senior Eric Fleming (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) knocked down a three-pointer to cap the scoring in the half with 1:18 left on the clock.

The Tigers continued to control the game entering the second half increasing their lead to as many as 14 points when senior Marvin Crawford (Edison, N.J./J.P. Stevens) finished off a three-point play with a free throw.  The three points made the score 28-14 at the 17:47 mark.

As the half progressed, the Devils began chipping away at the Tigers' lead and eventually grabbed the lead for the first time late.  Flo Da-Silva scored a layup to give USciences a 44-43 advantage with 2:24 left in regulation.  The lead would be short-lived as the Tigers scored the final four points of the half to recapture the lead and to win the game.
